Julie is our Business Development Executive. She focuses on developing new business for FJWTS. Julie has broad experience of sales in the UK and North America. Before joining us, she delivered business solutions to a range of organisations, from SMEs through to the largest global corporate on the FTSE. Julie is perceptive and tenacious and enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively and confidentially. She has a great eye for detail and a naturally consultative sales style. Julie is passionate about delivering high levels of customer service and exceeding client expectations.
Amanda is one of our Candidate Interviewers. She interviews potential candidates for future roles and our long-listed candidates for senior appointments. She has over 15 years experience in the recruitment sector in senior operational and sales roles. Amanda previously worked for Tate (Impellam Group) as the Regional Manager for the North, later moving to become the National Sales Manager for Kelly Services. Outside work, Amanda enjoys learning to play the piano, running half marathons, putting on triathlon events, and having adventures with her young family.
Gill is one of our Candidate Interviewers. Throughout her career, Gill’s passion has been to help people grow and fulfil their personal and professional potential. For the first eleven years of her career, Gill worked in education — first as an art teacher and then as a deputy headteacher. Looking for a new challenge, Gill then returned to art school, after which she set up a ceramics business, exporting products across the world. Gill’s third career was at CRAC. This provided an opportunity to combine her experience in education and business as Director and Head of Programme Development. In this role, Gill developed learning programmes to promote career development. Gill interviews our long-listed candidates for senior appointments.
Anthony Haynes is our Communications Associate. He has extensive experience in the small business and higher education sectors, especially in engineering. Anthony is a founding director of Frontinus Ltd. He specialises in helping people – via coaching, development editing, and writing – to give presentations and to write bids and pitches. Anthony has been Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University (China) and the University of Hiroshima (Japan). As an author, he has been published by Cambridge University Press and Bloomsbury. Outside work, Anthony is a keen cricketer.
Tony is our Director of Talent Management Services. A Chartered and Registered Occupational Psychologist, he has extensive experience with assessment and talent management tools. Before setting up his own independent consultancy in 2007, Tony worked for Saville and Holdsworth (SHL) for ten years. Prior to this, he spent 12 years working in business management in the City. Tony uses a broad range of assessment tools to profile talent against criteria that lead to business success. Working independently, he is able to create processes tailored to the needs of clients. Tony has undertaken assessment and development projects across various sectors. He has worked with organisations such as the Lloyds Banking Group, Toyota, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Office for National Statistics, AAT, Premier Training, the Sport and Recreation Alliance, ICAS, and Cranfield School of Management.
Alison is our Head of Coaching and Leadership Development. She met Fiona Wilson (our Managing Director) when she was headhunted for a senior role in Leadership Development in the city. They bonded over a love of horse-riding and a strong sense of professional ethics and authenticity. Alison’s skills are a natural extension of the assessment services offered at FJWilson as she provides coaching and leadership development for individuals and organisations. Alison works from a humanist perspective, using strengths psychology to help people discover what they enjoy doing and are distinctively good at, enabling leaders and organisations to make the most of their talent. Alison is a chartered member of the CIPD and holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology. She has worked extensively in leadership and organisational change in the UK and Europe with public and private sector clients.
Fiona is our Managing Director and Headhunter. She focuses on work for retained clients on search assignments. Fiona also works with shortlisted candidates. Before founding FJWilson Talent Services in 2009, she worked for 14 years in recruitment in
operations and sales.In operational roles, Fiona worked for Adecco’s professional staffing brands. She was Operations Director of Jonathan Wren, Ajilon, and then of the London 2012 contract. Before this, Fiona worked for Kelly Services, where she gained experience of the general staffing sector, on-site management, and strategic accounts. Fiona’s experience in sales was first developed at Hobsons, part of the Daily Mail Group. During this time she specialised in the 16-19 year old marketplace, recruiting for school-leaver, apprenticeship and undergraduate programmes. Fiona is a “Pilotlighter”, a mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation, and an experienced Board Director and charity trustee. Out of work, she enjoys (still) listening to ‘The Cure’, camping and seaside holidays.
Sam is our Resourcing Manager, She is responsible for managing client vacancies from start to finish: from taking the brief through to leading the search and selection of shortlisted candidates, managing interviews and appointments. Sam joins us with 20 years’ successful recruitment experience returning agency side after seven years as an internal recruitment manager. Most recently, Sam was the Core Resourcing Manager for AQA where she managed vacancies from mid-level to C suite roles across a number of business areas including operations, finance and corporate service, qualifications and markets.
Irene is our Recruitment Administrator. She ensures the quality of our database and provides administrative support. Irene’s career background is in administration, data-entry, and customer service roles. She is currently studying for a degree with the Open University in Modern Languages.
Phil is our Researcher. He has over twenty years recruitment and resourcing experience. Prior to joining FJWilson Talent Services in 2012, Phil worked for two divisions of the Adecco Group, first as a branch manager for Jonathan Wren and then on-site at Everything Everywhere (formally Orange plc), resourcing senior telecoms professionals for Hyphen RPO. Phil started his recruitment career in the City. For ten years he worked for a niche investment banking and fund management agency, recruiting specialist operations staff. He has also worked on-site for a major City bank, coordinating the recruitment of their temporary and contract staff. Outside work, Phil enjoys running (half marathons) and is a lifelong supporter of Somerset CCC.
Susie is our Researcher and Alumni Project Manager. She conducts feedback interviews and ad-hoc research and marketing projects with our alumni (i.e., our clients and placed candidates). Susie also works part-time as the Alumni Relations Manager for the Highfield and Brookham Schools. Alongside her career, she established the John Schofield Trust, which provides a mentoring scheme for young journalists. The scheme has paired young journalists with experienced practitioners, such as Jeremy Bowen, Lindsey Hilsum, Dermot Murnaghan, Sian Williams. In recognition of this work, Susie won the Royal Television Society’s prestigious Judges’ Award in 2012.
Heidi is our Researcher. She takes client briefings for new recruitment assignments and leads on identifying suitable senior candidates. Heidi has worked in client-facing roles for over 20 years. 11 years of her experience has been within the recruitment industry, including 4 years as a billing consultant working on permanent roles (mainly on the City & Guilds account) and 6 years as an Operations Manager for Kelly Services. Outside work, Heidi enjoys attending the gym regularly, plus large amounts of retail therapy.
Dilly is our Service Delivery Manager. She also manages our senior candidates during the interviewing stages. Dilly’s career has always involved relationship and client management, dealing with internal and external customers. She has experience of working for SMEs and for large blue-chip organisations, such as Merrill Lynch. Outside work, Dilly enjoys camping and growing her own vegetables.
Frances is our Researcher and Administrator. She researches employers and candidates, as well as helping maintain the database. Frances also works part-time in education, volunteers for The Kite Trust, and is working towards a Level 1 in British Sign Language; interests that all centre people and communication.
Denise is our Careers Coaching Associate. She qualified as a coach in 1998 and is a Chartered Psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society. Denise is the founder of www.amazingpeople.co.uk. Her work focuses on helping each person to obtain clarity on who they are, where their strengths lie, and how to position themselves to be a desired candidate where their unique self can shine. Denise trained as a REACH Personal Branding Strategist and Social Branding Analyst and re-certifies each year. Her eight books include Now You’ve Been Shortlisted and Find Work at 50+. Outside work you may well find Denise driving her 1958 Austin A35 or dancing lindy hop.
Hannah is our Service Delivery Executive. With over 15 years of experience in customer service and administration she is passionate about building relationships and keeping clients happy. Before joining us Hannah delivered administrative assistance to a range of clients, from solicitors firms to estate agencies. Outside work, Hannah is a film and book geek.
