OK, we’ve offered the candidate a job and she/he has accepted: there’s nothing I need to do now until they pitch up on Day 1, right?
No: wrong. How successfully the recruit starts their job will depend a lot on what the employer does (a) between acceptance and start date and (b) when the recruit joins.
